You can remove your data from any NorthStudio app. This page explains what data may exist and where, how to delete it yourself, and how to ask us to delete anything we hold. Instructions apply to every NorthStudio app — tell us which one and we’ll handle the rest.

01Overview

NorthStudio builds several apps, and they don’t all store data the same way. Some are fully on-device and keep nothing on our servers; others sync through your own private iCloud; a few store account data with us. Because of that, deletion works a little differently per app, and this page routes you by which app you use.

Whichever app you have, you can delete your content inside the app, remove local copies by deleting the app, and email us to have any server-side account data erased. The details are below.

02What Data May Exist, and Where

Depending on the app, your content is stored on your device and/or in your own private iCloud, and some apps store account data on our servers. Apps that are fully on-device keep no server-side copy.

  • On your device — the content you create, scan, paste, or import. For fully on-device apps this is the only place it lives.
  • Your private iCloud — if the app offers iCloud sync and you enable it, your content moves between your devices through your own Apple ID. We have no access to it.
  • Our servers — only for apps that offer an account. For those apps we store the account data needed to operate the feature. Fully on-device apps store nothing with us.

Analytics and ad measurement

Analytics events — sent via Meta, Firebase, and/or Mixpanel depending on the app — are anonymous and are not linked to your identity. Ad measurement, where used, relies on Apple’s SKAdNetwork, which reports conversions without an IDFA. None of this is personal data we can tie back to you, so there is nothing identity-linked to delete here.

03Delete Your Data Yourself

For most apps you can remove everything without contacting us:

  • Delete your content in the app— remove individual items, or clear everything, using the app’s own delete controls.
  • Turn off analytics— open that app’s Settings and disable analytics to stop anonymous events from being sent.
  • Delete the app — removing the app from your device deletes the local copies of your content stored on it.
  • Clear iCloud data— if you used iCloud sync, you can remove that app’s data from your device’s iCloud settings under your Apple ID.

04Request Deletion From Us

To have us delete data held on our side, email support@northstud.io with the subject “Data deletion request” and tell us which app.

  • For apps that store data only on your device, we hold nothing to delete — deleting the app removes your data.
  • For apps with server-side accounts, we will delete your account data.

We confirm within 30 days.
