Terms of Use.

By downloading, installing, or using any app or service from NorthStudio, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our apps.

These Terms apply to all NorthStudio apps, all NorthStudio services, and the website at northstud.io.

NorthStudio publishes mobile apps and related services. The specific features of each app are described on its App Store or Google Play listing and within the app itself. We may add, change, or remove features over time as our apps evolve.

These Terms cover your general relationship with NorthStudio as a publisher. Specific apps may have additional in-app disclosures relevant to particular features (for example, AI features or sync features). Those disclosures apply alongside these Terms.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download and use our apps on devices you own or control. This license is for personal, non-commercial use, unless we have explicitly licensed otherwise in writing.

You may not:

• ·Copy, modify, or create derivative works of our apps
• ·Distribute, sell, lease, or rent our apps
• ·Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• ·Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• ·Use our apps for any unlawful purpose

The license ends automatically if you violate these Terms or uninstall the app.

Some of our apps offer in-app purchases or subscriptions to unlock additional features or content.

• ·All purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not process payments directly and we do not store your payment information.
• ·Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• ·You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device Settings, under your Apple ID or Google Account.
• ·Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies. For Apple purchases, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play purchases, request a refund through the Play Store.
• ·Prices, billing periods, and offerings may change. If they do, the change will only apply to future billing periods, not to the current one.

Some of our apps let you create, paste, scan, save, or import content. We refer to anything you put into our apps as “your content.”

• ·You retain full ownership of your content.
• ·We do not claim any rights to your content.
• ·We do not read, monitor, or use your content for any purpose.
• ·You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use, scan, or import any content you put into our apps.

You agree not to use our apps to create, store, or process content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, defamatory, infringing on someone else’s rights, or otherwise objectionable under applicable law.

You agree to use our apps only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of our apps. Specifically, you agree not to:

• ·Attempt to disrupt, hack, reverse engineer, or interfere with our apps or services
• ·Use our apps to violate the rights of others or applicable laws
• ·Use our apps to scan, capture, or process content in ways that violate the privacy or rights of other people (for example, scanning a person's documents without their knowledge or consent)
• ·Use our apps to send spam, malware, or any malicious content
• ·Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or any related systems

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your access to our apps.

All intellectual property in our apps, including names, logos, icons, design, code, illustrations, written content, and assets, is owned by NorthStudio or our licensors. Trademarks, service marks, and trade dress are protected by law in the jurisdictions where they apply.

You may not use our trademarks, brand name, or assets in any commercial way without our prior written consent.

Our apps may integrate with or link to third-party services (for example, Apple iCloud, third-party analytics providers, or external links to App Store listings).

• ·We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services.
• ·Your use of any third-party service is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy.
• ·We do our best to vet the third parties we include in our apps. See our Privacy Policy for the current list.

Our apps are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

• ·Our apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
• ·Our apps will meet your specific requirements
• ·Any output from our apps is accurate, complete, or reliable

This includes any safety checks, link verification, OCR results, AI-generated content, document analysis, or any automated detection feature. These are tools to assist you, not guarantees. You are responsible for using your own judgment when relying on any output our apps produce.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NorthStudio and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our apps. This includes, but is not limited to:

• ·Loss of data
• ·Loss of profits or revenue
• ·Business interruption
• ·Loss of goodwill
• ·Any other commercial damages or losses

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or from your use of our apps will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or the equivalent of one month of subscription fees, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold NorthStudio harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• ·Your misuse of our apps
• ·Your violation of these Terms
• ·Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
• ·Any content you create, import, or scan using our apps

These Terms remain in effect for as long as you use our apps.

• ·You can end them at any time by uninstalling our apps and ceasing use.
• ·We may suspend or terminate your access to our apps at any time if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue an app.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as Sections 7, 9, 10, 11, and 14) will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time as our apps and the law evolve. When we make significant changes, we will communicate them via in-app notification or release notes before the change takes effect.

Continued use of our apps after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, please stop using our apps.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our apps will be resolved in the courts of Thrissur, Kerala, India.

If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws still apply to you to the extent they cannot be waived by agreement.
